By virtue of a warrant granted out of his Lordship's Land Office of this province unto his Excellency Thomas Bladen Esq. for three thousand acres of land bearing the date the 16th day of April Anno Domini 1745.
I therefore certify as Deputy Surveyor of Prince Georges County under his said Excellency, I have carefully laid out for and in the name of him, the said Thomas Bladen Esq. All that tract of land lying in said County called The Pleasant Valley beginning at two bounded White Oak trees standing near the river bank about a mile below the mouth of Everts Creek, a branch of the Potomack, running thence...

Assignment of Claim to Col. George Mason:
For a valuable consideration to me is hand paid by Col. George Mason of the Colony of Virginia, I do hereby, as attorney in fact for the within mentioned Thomas Bladen, Esq., assign transfer and make over unto him the said Col. George Mason all that said Bladen's, rights, title and interest, property claim and domain what so ever of in and to the within certificate and the land and promises within mentioned, and desires that patent may issue to him the said George Mason for the same. As witness my hand, this 14th day of June Anno Domini 1763.
