Land Patent: Colemores Ramble - Colemore Beanes - 66 Acres - 1743
Washington County, MD

I've included this land patent from Western Washington County because of the mention of a "Main Road" from Little Conolloway(sic) Creek to Old Town. I believe Little Conolloway Creek (In all it's spellings) is Little Tonoloway Creek and the hill is Tonoloway Ridge. The Beanes property is located on the Ridge near a branch of the creek and next to the Main Road.

What intrigues me is Capt. Thomas Cresap didn't patented "Indian Fields" until 1742 and yet the Colemore patent talks of a main road to the area. Furthermore, Fort Frederick wasn't completed until 1757 and a road from the fort to Fort Cumberland wasn't proposed until 1758 (Built in 1770).
